It’s been really hot this past week and when the group’s challenge was to draw “What keeps you cool/hot”, I immediately thought garden hose and here it is!:
Every day this week, I have come home, stripped down to a bikini and Hubby has sprayed the “sweaty commute” off me! (Yep, we’re “classy” like that! LOL)
But today, the clouds have parted and we now have air conditioning…well..in our bedroom. (It’s a start right?) The unit is just a rental but I love it:
I know it’s not a drawing..but I thought it was better to take a photo! The guy who installed it said that our bedroom was the “Hottest place he has been into this week!”
Sounds about right!
Lovely start to your blog!! Great pictures… Here in England we sulk when it’s too cold, then sulk when it’s too hot :-)!!! We are obsessed with the weather… it’s because we have a lot of it!!!
Lesley-Ha! Sounds like Canada! It’s freezing cold here in the winter and boiling in the summer. I love the heat, but sleeping in it can be difficult.:)
You made me laugh! I am glad you got an air-conditioner. And that “sweaty commute” is an awful feeling 😦
Donna noble-It truly is an awful feeling! I am so happy we have air conditioning now!
Very nice drawing of the garden hose nozzle! =)
Alex Tan-Thank you:)
I’m glad the rental thing worked out! Here’s a tip for the rest of your place if you’re interested — get one of those window fans (the rectangular ones with the 2 fans) seal it into a window and put it on exhaust. I’ll tell ya those suckers cool down a room almost as well and quickly as an air conditioner. And they’re only around $50 (Honeywell makes a good one)
XUP-Your idea for a rental air conditioner was a good one, so I think I might try one of those window fans too! Thanks! 🙂
I know the feeling all too well!
Pieces of me-Do you have air conditioning or are you relying mostly on fans and hoses too?
